Dunlop Brakes : the authenticity of classic
In the 1950s and 1960s, Dunlop revolutionised automotive braking with the introduction of hydraulic disc brakes. This system equipped many iconic models, including vehicles from Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, and Aston Martin.
Unlike more modern systems, Dunlop calipers are fixed and use opposing pistons to ensure an even distribution of pressure across the brake pads. The result is precise, reliable, and durable braking-perfectly suited to the sporting and characterful saloons and grand tourers of the era.
Over time, however, moisture, seal ageing, and lack of maintenance can lead to seized components, leaks, or reduced braking performance. Preserving these original systems therefore requires careful refurbishment and suitable replacement parts.
At Vintage-Parechocs, we offer Dunlop-compatible braking components for many classic vehicles: calipers, pistons, hoses, seal kits, brake pads, and more-all designed to help you preserve the authenticity of your vehicle while ensuring safe driving.
